HAVER 2006 Innovation Award Presented to Laticrete International.

Conyers/Chicago. This year's HAVER 2006 Innovation Award has been presented to the company Laticrete International. Haver & Boecker, based in Oelde Germany, officially recognises the company's co-operation in the mutual development of clean packaging, protecting the product and increasing shelf life, for the building materials industry. Laticrete International will install the newly developed 4-spout BENJAMIN machines at several locations in various US states by the middle of May. The packing machines operate according to the HAVER ADAMS PROCESS, a machine technology that allows powder-type products to be filled into leak-proof plastic bags.

Laticrete International, located in Bethany Connecticut, is a well-known and innovative producer of building materials. Founded in 1956, the company has developed a wide range of products for the building materials industry. Even beyond professional circles Laticrete became well known through its development of a thin layer mortar in the late 1950s, which due to its lightweight made it possible to build high-rises during the US Eisenhower era. This remarkable innovation, which at the time was not held in the highest regards, secured the company's future and became the secret of its success. And with the introduction of the HAP techno¬logy, Laticrete continues on this path to success.

The Award, a sculpture by native artist Paul Tönnißen and a monetary bonus were awarded at the end of October in Chicago at the PACK EXPO, one of the most important US trade exhibitions for packaging technology. Dr. Will Martinez received the award and certificate for Laticrete International from Dr. Reinhold Festge, Managing Director and Partner, of HAVER & BOECKER.
