Harman Corporation Announces New Membership with the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI)

Rochester, MI-June 26, 2007--Harman Corporation announces its new membership with The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI) this month. SPI is the trade association representing one of the largest manufacturing industries in the United States. SPI's members represent the entire plastics industry supply chain, including processors, machinery and equipment manufacturers and raw materials suppliers. Membership in SPI gives Harman a voice in shaping the industry's future and provides a forum for interaction with fellow industry leaders. The Rochester-based plastics company, now in its third generation of family ownership, specializes in standard and custom dip molded parts in a variety of colors and textures.

"As members, we now have access to a tremendous volume of industrial and technical information--as well as the opportunity to network with industry peers and colleagues," said Ted Fisher, operations manager at Harman Corporation. SPI members are eligible to participate in various SPI committees, conferences, and bi-annual board meetings.

Membership also entitles Harman to a wide variety of products and services. SPI runs the industry's only safety awards program; has dozens of units dedicated to issues of concern in the plastics industry; and will now supply industry statistics and financial ratio studies specifically for Harman.

Harman has allocated all dues to the Vinyl Products Division, which was formed to enhance the growth and prestige of the flexible vinyl industry. This July, Harman Corporation will attend The Vinyl Products Division 18th Annual Compounding Conference in St. Pete Beach, FL. "We've been attending this valuable event for the last 10 years, and decided it was time to take our participation up a level by becoming members," said Fisher.
