GTSI and AeroScout Provide Industry's First Asset Tracking Solution for VA Hospitals
Complete Wi-Fi-Based Active RFID Solution Available on GTSI's PCHS Contract
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- GTSI Corp. (NASDAQ:GTSI), and AeroScout, Inc., a pioneer in the field of Wi-Fi-based location and visibility solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to deliver Wi-Fi-based asset tracking and location solutions to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospitals throughout the United States. The joint solution, which has been added to GTSI's PCHS (Procurement of Computer Hardware and Software) contract, enhances the VA's ability to improve health care to the nation's veterans.
GTSI will deliver an integrated solution, which includes AeroScout's leading Wi-Fi-based Active RFID technology and Cisco's wireless infrastructure. This solution enables VA hospitals to accurately track mobile assets (such as pumps and carts), patients and staff throughout the facilities, and use this location information to improve asset utilization as well as increase patient safety.
