GSM Industrial Now Has the ASME Certification Mark and National Board R Stamp!

Lancaster, PA: GSM Industrial, Inc. is pleased to announce that since December 2012, we’re officially able to stamp the ASME Certification Mark and National Board “R” Stamp to products.

While GSM Industrial has been capable of meeting the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements for years the company has officially received the ASME “U” Certificate of Authorization in December 2012.  GSM now has the authority to apply the ASME Certification Mark and the “U” Designator to Pressure Vessels and/or Parts fabricated by GSM when requested by the customer or required for the project.  The ASME “U” Certificate of Authorization assures our clients that design, material, fabrication; testing and examination controls are performed using qualified procedures by qualified and certified personnel. GSM also has the ability to register certified Manufacturer’s Data Reports with the National Board as required by many Jurisdictions.

The ASME “U” Certificate of Authorization indicates GSM Industrial’s design, fabrication, testing, examination and documentation of Pressure Vessels and/or Parts were completed strictly in accordance with the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1.

In addition, GSM Industrial has officially received the National Board “R” Certificate of Authorization. GSM now has the authority to apply the National Board “R” Code symbol stamp to pressure-retaining items, previously manufactured in accordance with the ASME Code or other original codes of construction that have been repaired or altered by GSM in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC).
