GSM Industrial Announces Asset Acquisition of Schugt Manufacturing of Dover, PA


LANCASTER, PA. – GSM Industrial, a leader in the fabrication and installation of custom industrial steel products, announces its asset acquisition of Schugt Manufacturing, a full service machining shop specializing in precision CNC machining based in Dover, PA.  The acquisition allows GSM Industrial to expand its machining capabilities by capitalizing on Schugt’s expertise and equipment.



As part of the deal, five Schugt employees, including owner and president, David Schugt, joined GSM Industrial, adding machinists, programmers and supervisors to the team. The existing equipment at the Schugt machine shop at 4700 Raycom Road will be transitioned to GSM’s West Hempfield Township facility on Hempland Road by July 31, 2013.

Schugt specialized in precision CNC milling and turning, manual machining, and blanchard grinding. The shop is well equipped with CNC turning centers, CNC vertical machining centers, manual mills, lathes and grinders.
