Growing a PIRTEK Center One Mobile Unit at a Time
Dallas, TX - Jim Lager's, owner of PIRTEK Love Field, and General manager Bill Lesswing's mindset to 'Never Say No' to their customers and having everything in stock to be able to service a large job at a moment's notice are just a couple of reasons why PIRTEK Love Field has grown at a phenomenal rate. In order to continue to provide an ETA of 1 hour and keep up with customer demand, Jim and Bill have been growing this business one Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU) at a time. They currently have 9 MSSUs on the road servicing industries such as construction, manufacturing, rental
equipment, transportation and recycling.
PIRTEK Love Field was recently awarded a contract with a rail company to replace damaged and worn hoses on all their track repair equipment. The hoses are replaced during equipment rotational downtime. In August alone the Center manufactured 1,000 hose assemblies in a variety of sizes which included 700 hose assemblies manufactured by three technicians in four days. The rail company has stated that they have already noticed an increase in their operation time.
Demands from customers, such as the rail company, have driven PIRTEK Love Field to not only increase their number of MSSUs, but expand into a larger area. Jim Lager plans on opening a second Center in Fort Worth, Texas before the end of the year. He will add an additional van to have a total of 10 MSSUs on the road servicing the Dallas Fort Worth area. Jim states, "It's all about what we can do for the customer to make them more profitable. Customers will feel more secure with a second Center closer to them by
adding a local phone number to already local business." In addition, they will continue to be able to accept large jobs while servicing the needs of their existing customers. Customer service takes precedence at PIRTEK Love Field whether in the shop or out of the van.
Jim Lager and Bill Lesswing feel like they are just scratching the surface in the local market. With the addition of the second Center they will be able to focus on other industries like scrap yards, manufacturing/production and companies with government contracts.
