Greif SVP & Divisional President Patton to Leave the Company


DELAWARE, Ohio (May 7, 2010) - Michael C. Patton, 48, senior vice president, Global Sourcing & Supply Chain and divisional president Industrial Packaging North America, has announced his departure from Greif, Inc. (NYSE: GEF, GEF.B). Patton will become chief executive officer of Caraustar Industries, Inc.

Caraustar operates fiber recycling centers and manufactures recycled paperboard, tubes and cores, folding cartons and gypsum facing paper.

Greif will announce Patton's replacement at a later date.
