Greg Waletzko Quality Assurance Manager at Felling Trailers

As we are turning the corner towards 45 years in building trailers, we look back and see how much our company, along with our employees have grown. Many of you may already know the story of how Felling Trailers started as a small fabrication shop in downtown Sauk Centre in 1974. But, to add to this story, we would like to invite you to read our “Grow with Us Series.” Here you will meet the people of Felling, we will share a bit about the people that have played a part in what our company is today and where we will be tomorrow. Some of the people you will meet have been with us for many years, some decades, and then others are just starting their careers with us. We would like to start by introducing you to Greg Waletzko, the Quality Assurance Manager at Felling Trailers for the past 5 months.

Greg joined the Felling Trailers’ Team in April of 2018 as the Continuous Improvement Coordinator where he reviewed our manufacturing processes to pinpoint places for refinement to increase workflow and efficiencies. As in many fast-growing companies, the additions of work area space and workflow don’t always happen in the right order. From individual production areas to complete departments processes of obtaining materials to completion of jobs are reviewed.

Shortly after joining Felling, Greg had the opportunity to take on the role of Quality Assurance Manager. In this role, Greg is responsible for developing, directing, controlling, and managing the installation and maintenance of the company’s quality assurance programs. In April of 2017 Felling Trailers, Inc. obtained their ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management. Greg, along with his team of Quality Assurance Inspectors, work diligently to ensure that all stages of the build process meet company quality standards to provide a final product that will exceed the customers’ expectations.

With more than 30 years of Quality and Manufacturing Plant Management, Waletzko has worked in the manufacturing field for Standard Iron and Wire, Inc. During his tenure with the company, Greg worked to acquire and implement new technologies, monitor plant job efficiencies and maintained ISO and AISC certifications.

When asked why Greg chose Felling to be where he worked he said “It’s a very nice place to work. Employees are valued for the skills they bring to their jobs, making Felling Trailers a company of choice.”
