Barracuda®'s unique shovel cutting point and precision star recess make it start faster and drive better, and the smaller head design helps Barracuda® seat cleanly into composite and PVC deck material. Since the barrel head is designed for cap stock material, it eliminates flagging and haloing. And because Barracuda® screws pull material out as they drill in, instead of compacting the material into the hole, there is no mushrooming.
The #8 barrel head diameter of the Barracuda® deck screw allows it to seat easier and less visibly into composite deck material with no pre-drilling. Its #9 gauge shank and deep-cut threads give it better holding and cutting power, especially in cap stock, without flagging or haloing. In addition, Barracuda®'s ACQ-approved GrabberGard® exterior grade coating ensures that the screw will be less likely to rust or stain deck boards. And Barracuda® deck screws come in shades of gray, brown, tan, and red to match most available composite deck materials. Custom colors are available upon request.
