Unlike the pneumatic deck clip tools currently on the market, this new heavy-duty automated deck fastening tool is designed to consistently and accurately secure deck clips to joists and deck boards without overdriving or underdriving the clips, which results in bent or loose clips. Contractors never use pneumatic nail guns to put up drywall because the nail guns either shoot the nail through the paper and blow out the back of the drywall or fail to drive the nail up tight. There are just too many variables: the air press has to be perfect, the substructure (stud) has to be consistent in hardness, and the position of the tool has to be just right.
Grabber's SuperDrive 75G5 solves all that. Since collated screw tools can successfully be used to put up drywall, Grabber employed that technology in developing the 75G5 collated screw deck clip tool. Using a 9 x 1-3/4" framing screw--compared with the 7 x 1-1/2" trim head screws that most clips come with--the 75G5 consistently drives the deck clips up tight but does not overdrive them. With its stronger-holding screws and better-holding G5 series deck clips, Grabber offers the best hidden deck fasteners available.
