Gold-Plated Flat Flexible Cable
Gold contact FFC/FPC connectors may now be mated with flat flexible cable that contains a gold coating on the stripped ends for an extra measure of reliability in board-to-board interconnections.
In addition to its standard line of flat flexible cables carrying bare copper or tinplated copper conductors with polyester or polyimide tape insulation, Axon' Cable offers this new gold-plated advantage for use with ZIF/LIF connectors (Zero-/Low Insertion Force).
Axon' FFC cables are extremely flexible and designed to be thin and narrow for smaller footprints and higher packaging density compared to round wire construction. They are also available in various customized configurations including shielded or grounded with folds, ferrites, and connector interlocking systems, hybrid pitches and special insulation. Special markings, notchings, punchings, window cuts, slittings, mounting brackets, folds and crimped contacts are also available.
