GL Announces Enhanced Voice and Data Testing Solutions
Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA - GL Communications Inc., announced today the release of VQuadTM with enhanced Voice and Data Testing Capabilities - VQuad(TM) and VQuad(TM) - Lite (ver 6.4), Mobile Device Controller, and WebViewer(TM). Speaking to the press, Mr. Robert Bichefsky Senior Manager at GL said, "Communications is dramatically changing right now, as "mobility" and "IP" technologies such as LTE, Advanced LTE, WiMax, 3G, and Broadband Internet, lead this transformation. As these technologies are rolled out, basic voice/data quality will ultimately determine the fate of carriers and end equipment manufacturers. Simple and effective methods of testing voice and data are sorely needed - GL's mobile test solution provides this capability with the flexibility of connecting to and between any device (including Apple and Android), any network, any service, and any interface.

He elaborated, "GL's enhanced VQuad(TM) product can connect to any mobile, landline or VoIP device and provide automated Voice and Data Quality analysis on the associated network. The VQuad(TM) solution utilizes user-friendly software with a USB based hardware component (Dual UTA - Universal Telephony Adapter) for connecting to devices and testing various networks. Added to the GL VQuad(TM) solution is Data Testing for all wireless networks. Using the VQuad(TM) along with a standard PC internet connection, automated tests including TCP, UDP, HTTP, VoIP, Route, FTP and DNS are supported.
Also available is the GL's NetTest package for Data Testing on any supported Mobile Device and is remotely controlled via the GL Mobile Device Controller system.
GL's WebViewer(TM) provides the method to control, monitor and access, in real time, the entire VQuad(TM)/VQT network including all individual VQuad(TM) probes as well as the central location. Current status of the entire test is displayed along with customized user statistics and results of the active tests."
Mr.Bichefsky further explained, "GL's Mobile Device Controller (MDC) provides a liaison to all supported Apple/Android based mobile devices for conducting data tests. The Data tests can be remotely started irrespective if the mobile device is in close proximity of the VQuad(TM).
GL's latest release the VQuad(TM) - Lite application with Dual Universal Telephony Adapter (UTA), is the Lite version of VQuad(TM) is geared towards field technicians based on the simplicity of the software and ease of operation. The VQuad(TM)-Lite supports a maximum of two FXO and/or Mobile Bluetooth devices."
