GKF 2500 Capsule Filling Machine for Microdosing of Powdered Pharmaceuticals

o Flexible filling of difficult and sensitive products

o Microdosing roller for accurate dosing of very small quantities

o Optimal solution for highly effective inhalation products

At Interpack 2011, in Düsseldorf, Bosch Packaging Technology is presenting its GKF 2500 capsule filling machine with new technology for microdosing powdered pharmaceuticals. This new development is particularly suitable for processing highly effective inhalation products within filling ranges of 2-30 milligrams. "With this machine our customers can fill even very small quantities at high output levels," explained Product Manager Melanie Beck. The GKF 2500 now allows for the flexible, high-performance processing of an extremely wide range of products with varying requirements.

Microdosing is a precise filling technique for very small doses which avoids agglomeration and is suitable for dosing quantities of around two milligrams and up. Especially for highly effective products which are administered by inhalation and require exact medication, precise filling of very small doses and where avoiding of agglomeration is required. The GKF 2500 is available with a newly developed dosing roller which allows the reliable and safe dosing of such very small powder volumes. The flexible modular filling station can also process difficult and sensitive products, as it utilizes gentle filling techniques and even allows adjustments to be made during the filling process. The capsule filling machine fulfills the conditions for pharmaceutical production and manufacturers benefit from gentle filling techniques and a high output level. The modular filling station offers easy assembly and disassembly, as well as upgrading capabilities for future requirements. Only a limited number of size parts are required, which significantly speeds up and simplifies adjustments for product changeovers.
