German Company Expands Coatesville Division
Increasing demand creates growing pains in Coatesville, PA.
LANCASTER, PA - June 14, 2006 - We're running out of space. We're stretched to the max! We're pushed to the limits...something's gotta give!!? Ahh...the good problems to have when sales are robust and business is growing. For a unique German company in Coatesville, PA, that is exactly what is going on. Growth. "We are very compressed in our current space and had to immediately expand into the entire warehouse & office building next door," says Aerzen USA CEO & President, Pierre Noack. At Aerzen USA, they know all about compression. This company is a high-end manufacturer of industrial blowers, vacuum pumps and compressors. "Our growth has forced us to accelerate our long-term expansion plans to adjust to more space right now."
In fact, Aerzen USA is slated to break ground in the Meetinghouse Corporate Park in Sadsburyville. "We could potentially break ground this Fall if all conditions are met," says Noack. "This first step of expanding next door gives us immediate capacity, and is the perfect test for the layout and design of the new corporate service facility." The area "next door" features work cells that apply lean manufacturing processes for repairs and refurbishing equipment. This includes and area to stock refurbished machines for Aerzen's machine exchange program. There is also office space that will handle after-sales functions, including order intake for parts, scheduling of service trips and technical support.
"We have also brought on board a new Director of Sales to help guide and maintain our growth," Noack states, referring to recent hire Norbert Friedrichs.
