General Plastics Manufacturing Company Receives Supplier of the Year Award from Boeing

General Plastics Manufacturing Co., supplier of high-performance polyurethane foam products and built-to-print composite parts, was recognized by The Boeing Company as Supplier of the Year in the Outstanding Performance category. General Plastics was one of 13 companies honored on May 8, 2019, for its commitment to distinguished performance in working with Boeing. As the award recipient, General Plastics Manufacturing Company is being recognized for consistent performance excellence in on-time delivery and quality, and proactively providing cost-effective product, lead time, and resource solutions.

This year’s recipients represent an elite group among more than 12,000 active Boeing suppliers around the world. This selection was based on stringent performance criteria for quality performance, delivery performance, cost, environmental initiatives, customer service and technical expertise.

General Plastics also received the Boeing Performance Excellence Award for 2018 for maintaining a minimum Silver composite performance rating for each month of the performance period from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018. The company is among 298 suppliers to be awarded the Silver level of recognition.

General Plastics Manufacturing Company has been a supplier to Boeing for over 75 years, starting in the early 40s when it supplied the company with acrylic for B-17 bomber windows.
