General Cable Receives Supplier of the Year Award from Arizona Public Service Company (APS)
General Cable (NYSE: BGC) is pleased to announce that it was presented with the APS Supplier of the Year Award in the Materials Category, which recognizes those business partners who have performed at the highest level during the previous year. This award allows APS to commemorate General Cable's performance in support of APS' Strategic Framework and the Supply Chain Vision. In 2011, APS spent $1.7 billion with 13,611 different business partners, of which six companies were selected for this prestigious honor.
General Cable, an integral partner in powering energy's infrastructure, was represented at the awards celebration on May 17, 2012 by Gregory B. Kenny, President and CEO, General Cable; Daniel Smith, Director, Electric Utility Sales; and Adam Labbe, Regional Sales Manager. Daniel Froetscher, Vice President of Energy Delivery, presented the award, accompanied by Don Brandt, APS President and CEO, as well as Barbara Gomez, Vice President of Supply Chain Management.

General Cable, who has been a APS supplier for over 15 years, met or exceeded APS's qualifying requirements for this award recognition, including demonstrating outstanding customer service; providing additional value to the relationship; showing a commitment to sustainability; being actively involved in the community; and maintaining a focus on health, safety and environmental concerns.
