Gemstar Manufacturing Introduces New Sizes to Injection Molded Case Line
The Gemstar" 1220-7 and 1824-8 are the most recent additions to Gemstar Manufacturing's line of injection-molded line of cases. Designed to withstand incredible abuse in tough environments and remain sealed against air and water, Gemstar" cases maintain a sleek, stylish appearance allowing their user to transition seamlessly from the field to the boardroom and beyond.
When asked about the reasoning behind developing the Gemstar" line of cases, Gemstar President, Jon Leikvold, explained, "In 2003 we surveyed the high-end case market and found great dissatisfaction in the industry. The cases on the market at that time were utilitarian but terribly difficult to use - the state of the art latches used practically required pliers to open the case. In addition, the cases were not attractive. As a result of our research, we set out to design a case that was extremely durable and aesthetically pleasing, with ergonomics forefront in the design."
Gemstar" cases are loaded with first-rate standard features. The cases are constructed with high impact ABS that will not chip, dent or lose its finish and all are designed to be airtight, waterproof and dustproof, providing exceptional protection for sensitive materials and equipment. O-ring seals and manual pressure release valves are used to reinforce these characteristics. Patented, easy-to-open latches save wear and tear on fingers and knuckles and the lock down style prevents breakdown of the airtight and waterproof seal. Large, cushioned handles make the cases easy and comfortable to carry. Molded-in padlock brackets provide additional security.
Unique to the new 1220-7 and 1824-8 (and the existing 1824-12) are durable nylon in-line skate style wheels for easy maneuvering and a custom designed one-touch extension handle that makes toting heavier loads trouble-free. The 1220-7 is the maximum ATA allowable size for carry-on items.
