GE Appoints Three Company Officers


FAIRFIELD, Conn.--26 November 2008-- GE today announces the appointment of three new company officers. GE currently has 197 GE officers globally. GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.

Below is the list of GE's three new officers:

Julie DeWane, 43, is vice president, Supply Chain - Security, Enterprise Solutions, a business within GE Technology Infrastructure. DeWane draws from her broad experience as a 21-year veteran of GE, including leadership roles in Aviation and Transportation. Prior to her current role, she served as general manager of Global Services Operation - Transportation, Technology Infrastructure. DeWane joined GE after graduating from the company's Manufacturing Management Program in 1989. She holds degrees in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University (1987) and the University of Cincinnati (1995), as well as an MBA from Boston University (1999).

Luis Ramírez, 42, is vice president, Contractual Services- Energy Services, a business within GE Energy Infrastructure. Ramírez has been with GE for 8 years. Prior to his current role, Ramírez was president and general manager, Energy Parts- Energy Services, GE Energy Infrastructure and then moved to general manager, Contractual Services- Energy Services, GE Energy Infrastructure in 2006. He graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1987 with a Bachelors degree in computer science/business administration.

Shane Wright, 44, is vice president & chief financial officer, Aviation, a business within GE Technology Infrastructure. Wright has been with GE for 20 years. Prior to his current role, Wright held several other financial leadership positions across GE businesses such as GE Healthcare - International, GE Transportation and GE Oil and Gas. Wright is a graduate of GE's Financial Management Program. He received his Bachelors degree in economics from Whitman College in 1986.
