Gates Corporation Introduces PartView

Gates Corporation's PartView(TM) Offers Detailed Power Transmission Product Information and 2D/3D CAD Files in a User-Friendly, Online Format

Gates Corporation introduces PartView(TM) (http://www.gates.com/partview), a new interactive Industrial Power Transmission catalog. The online resource offers quick access to information about an array of products, including synchronous belts and sprockets, V-belts and sheaves, round belts and preventive maintenance tools.

With PartView(TM), design engineers use best-in-class search functionality to quickly find the components needed to build power transmission systems. Users search by specific part number or navigate through the system indicating desired specifications to find detailed, relevant technical information. PartView(TM) is also a very flexible tool. For example, when selecting a belt, one can input length as a "Range" to reveal a variety of workable product options. Each criterion can easily be reset, or a search within a particular product type can begin anew with the convenient "Reset All" button.

Various product support documents such as maintenance and safety manuals, product-specific design manuals and white papers are also supplied along with each product. For many Gates metal components, design engineers can download 2D drawings and 3D models that allow for easy conceptual design and convenient image manipulation within CAD systems.

Also available from Gates is the DesignConnect(TM) catalog (http://www.gates.com/designconnect), an interactive tool for 2D dimensioned drawings and 3D models of couplings and adapter products. Design engineers pick the right parts via a high-speed search engine and download solid models for use in their CAD environments.

The intuitive search features of both PartView(TM) and DesignConnect(TM) increase engineering productivity for a shortened design cycle and faster time to market.
