G-S PLASTIC OPTICS Expands Capabilities with Completion of Class 10,000 Clean Room
(August 31, 2011) Rochester, NY - G-S PLASTIC OPTICS announces the completion of a Class 10,000 clean room at the Rochester, NY corporate facility. GSPO is dedicated to continually improving its core competencies of supplying high precision polymer optics. The installation of the clean room is one more step in enabling the company to meet a number of heightened program demands.
GSPO has been, and continues to be, the innovation leader when it comes to polymer optics. The company has realized a growing need for the production of specialized products that require rigorous air contamination control. In response, the 200 square foot clean room facility has been erected and is now in operation. Within this specialized work area, the flow rate and direction of the air; maintenance of pressure, temperature, and humidity; and finely tuned filtration system will all be closely monitored at all times. In order to support strict production and assembly regulations, the addition of up to six employees is also slated for the near future.

"Introducing a 'pure' assembly environment on-site will not only ensure operational efficiency and delivery times for our customers, but also the high quality production standards that they have come to expect from us."
GSPO's new clean room will keep the company abreast of the stringent quality regulations required for optical assembly in many applications, including commercial, military, and medical. In keeping with its dedication to custom design and manufacture, GSPO once again demonstrates its continuing efforts to improve its core competencies of creating high precision polymer optics.
