G&L Precision Die Cutting Makes Charitable Contributions

San Jose, California --- May 21, 2008 - In 1978, Jerry Alberico, Loren Alberico and Connie Pierce saw a need in the exploding computer industry - the need for hub rings for floppy disks - and started a die cutting business with two machines in their garage. From providing engineered-solutions for die cutting for floppy disks, the founders expanded their mom and pop business to now providing worldwide solutions in precision die cutting, lamination and printing services to the medical device, aerospace, electronics and industrial industries. This year marks the company's 30th anniversary and to celebrate the occasion, G&L has made donations to The American Cancer Society and The American Diabetes Association.

"Connie Pierce was instrumental in our growth, and we honor her memory with the donation to the Cancer Society," commented Loren Alberico, president. "We also wanted to thank our many IVD customers for their business, thus the donation to support the fine work of The American Diabetes Association."

"While we saw an opportunity 30 years ago and created a niche for ourselves, our growth and success today comes from the hard work of our employees and customer loyalty," continued Loren Alberico, President. "Today's challenges are different. Nowadays, customers are more demanding, requiring not only engineered-solutions, but faster turnaround times and cost competitiveness. We work hard every day to meet these demands."

With changing industry environments, G&L's concentration now slants toward meeting the needs of medical device manufacturers with a particular focus on in-vitro diagnostics. The company's proprietary acrylic-adhesive, GL-187® has become an industry standard for diagnostic test strips and lateral flow devices.

The company is ISO 9001:2000 registered and headquartered in San Jose, California. International sales are handled from G&L's European offices in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. www.glprecision.com.
