Fujitsu 10Gb Ethernet Switches are Tolly Group Certified for Interoperability with Complimentary Switches
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 17 / / -- Enterprise video and server applications are creating a data explosion and placing increased pressure on networking products to demonstrate interoperability with complimentary products and various industry standards. Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a leading supplier of 10-Gigabit (Gb) Ethernet switches and innovative computer products, today announced that The Tolly Group, an independent testing and strategic consulting organization retained by Fujitsu, has evaluated and certified Fujitsu's XG700 and XG2000 Ethernet switches for network interoperability. The XG series offers high-performance 10Gb Ethernet Layer-2 switching, ideal for enterprise and video server/storage applications, high-performance computing, and the Internet SCSI (iSCSI) and Networked Attached Storage (NAS) markets.
At the Terremark Worldwide, Inc. facility, a major Internet peering point for service providers and carriers, Tolly Group engineers subjected the Fujitsu XG 10Gb Ethernet switches to a series of comprehensive tests with switching solutions from 3Com(R), Alcatel-Lucent(R), Cisco Systems(R), Enterasys(R), Extreme Networks(R), Foundry Networks(R), Hewlett-Packard(R), and IBM(R). To verify interoperability with alternative switches, Fujitsu's networking solutions were tested and passed various advanced LAN services tests, including support for 802.1p/Q VLAN tag propagation, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and Jumbo Frames.
