Freeman Technology Appoints Operations Manager

20 September 2010: Welland, UK: Powder characterisation company Freeman Technology has appointed Jamie Clayton to the new post of Operations Manager, to be based at the company's UK headquarters in Welland, Worcestershire.

Jamie, who has a control engineering background and extensive technical sales experience, has been with Freeman Technology since 2008 in a role that has encompassed both sales and applications support. As Operations Manager he will be responsible for all the day-to-day activities of the company, including overall management of the administration, production, R&D, sales and customer support teams.

Since entering the powder characterisation market a decade ago, Freeman Technology has grown to become a leading player occupying a unique position with its universal powder tester, the FT4 Powder Rheometer. In expanding the management team Tim Freeman, Director of Operations, anticipates further growth and also sees greater opportunity to contribute expertise to the powder processing industries.

"We want to deliver the best possible technical and applications support to our customers at all times and part of Jamie's new role will be to ensure that every aspect of our operation runs efficiently," he said. "Extending the management group also provides us with the necessary flexibility to fulfil the many invitations we now receive to contribute to powder processing and pharmaceutical industry events and to be involved in organisations that support these industries."
