Former Smarteam President Joins Actify to Head EMEA Sales; Industry Veteran Brings More Than 20 Years' Experience to Rapidly Expanding EMEA Market
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2005--Actify Inc., the worldwide leader in digital design communication solutions, today named its new vice president for EMEA sales. Effective immediately, Christopher Kenneth Jones joins the company as vice president of EMEA Sales and is responsible for expanding Actify's EMEA operations and increasing revenues. He will play a leadership role in guiding the company's strategic direction and business practices in EMEA to meet the increasing customer demand for Actify solutions within this market.

Jones has more than two decades of global managerial experience in sales, marketing and design in the manufacturing and construction industries. Before joining Actify, he was president of Dassault's Smarteam Europe Ltd. and was responsible for the successful and profitable turnaround of Smarteam's EMEA business -- improving channel efficiency by over 350 percent in three years. While in this leadership role, he also accomplished the first $1 million Smarteam order.
Prior to Smarteam Europe Ltd., Jones was general manager at Engineering Animation Ltd., one of the fastest-growing companies in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) market, and managing director of Division Group PLC., where he helped increase software revenues by $0 to $6.5 million over four years and formed profitable direct sales offices around Europe. Additionally, Jones has held various sales and sales management positions in Europe and Asia at EDS, a global provider of business and technology solutions to help clients improve their business performance. Chris Jones holds a degree in Engineering from the University of London and is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers M.I.C.E.
