Ford, Henkel Take Quantum Leap into the Future of Metal Pretreatment


MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., Feb. 7 / -- Ford Motor Company, along with Henkel Corporation, has produced the automotive industry's first production vehicle with a non-phosphate Bonderite® conversion coating process. This innovative technology significantly reduces costs, streamlines the vehicle assembly paint pretreatment operations, and reduces the environmental impact from the manufacturing process.

The Bonderite® coating process reduces waste, VOC and CO2 equivalent emissions, resulting in minimal environmental impact.
