Force-Moment-Sensor for Easy Applications
The FTL sensor from SCHUNK is an attractively priced Force Moment sensor that is a cost effective solution for simpler applications. The FTL is ideally suited for implementing very compact solutions because the housing is very compact with minimal interfering contours and the electronic processor is fully integrated into the module. This force sensor has six independent load measurement ranges allowing for measurement of forces up to 150N and moments up to 3Nm yet is built heavy enough to withstand up to three times the normal load and provide accuracies of better than 3%.
The signal is scanned with an internal sampling rate of 1.5 kHz at 12 bit analogue resolution enabling highly dynamic control concepts. The sensor can cope with a short-term overload which can be up to three times higher than the normal load.Â
Configuration and evaluation are possible by RS232 or CAN bus. The sensor can be used for easy assembly applications, at manually-guided robots, or in the field of service robotics. The sensor requires a battery-servable power supply from 12 - 24 V DC, making it suitable for mobile applications.Â
