FMC Technologies Sets Subsea Deepwater Completion Record for the Independence Hub Project in the Gulf of Mexico


Houston, Texas, July 25, 2007 - FMC Technologies (NYSE: FTI) announced today that it set a new subsea deepwater completion record of 8,995 feet for the Independence Hub project located in the Gulf of Mexico. FMC has supplied 15 subsea trees and associated equipment for Anadarko, ENI and Hydro since the project began in 2005.

Independence Hub is a deep-draft, semi-submersible platform connected to 10 natural gas fields. Anadarko is the operator of eight of the 10 fields and is also the operator of the Independence Hub facility, which is owned by Enterprise Products Partners L.P. and Helix Energy Solutions. ENI and Hydro are operators of the other two fields. These fields are located in the Atwater Valley, DeSoto Canyon and Lloyd Ridge areas of the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, where water depths range from 7,800 to 9,000 feet.
