Fielding Manufacturing Introduces Micro Die-Casting Emissary

Cranston, Rhode Island –  Fielding Manufacturing has unveiled a new marketing spokesperson for the Micro Die-Casting segment of their business. Mr. Micro was created specifically to convey Fielding’s message of precision capability and technical commitment to the growing demand for micro-featured zinc castings.

“Global demand for products produced from sustainable materials, like Zinc, is fueling a quiet revolution among engineers and designers,” said Steve Fielding, President of Fielding Manufacturing, “and coupled with that demand is the desire to create even smaller parts with high-precision features. Mr. Micro will provide an educational backdrop, and a real-world awareness of both the physical attributes and economies of these Micro-scaled, Zinc die cast parts.”

Zinc casting alloys are stronger, stiffer and tougher than molded plastics, extruded aluminum or die cast aluminum and magnesium. Zinc castings can be produced with thinner walls than aluminum or magnesium and lower, even zero, draft angles. Dimensional consistency is better, and trimming and machining are unnecessary, even where tight tolerances are specified

Founded in 1962, Fielding Manufacturing specializes in the manufacture of high precision micro and miniature zinc die-cast and injection molded components. The company provides a full-service solution that begins with design for manufacturability, rapid prototyping, tool design and reliable parts production, and extends through a complete range of secondary operations and finishing. Fielding Manufacturing has a strong reputation for quality, service and dependability, and offers a wealth of experience in a wide range of industrial markets, including telecommunications, fiber optics, hardware, electronics/electrical, automotive, fasteners/threaded components, appliance, and consumer.
