Fenner Dunlop Introduces Newest Business Unit


Splicing and Scanning Business Unit is One-of-a-Kind

Atlanta, GA/November 2, 2006 - Fenner Dunlop Americas is pleased to announce the formation of the new 'Splicing and Scanning Business unit'. The new unit will be lead by Business Unit Manager, Michael Cremeens.

The new unit will still consist of splice training performed by Michael Cremeens and Ronnie Whisenhunt, current manager of Splice Training. The splice training will continue to operate under the same format whereby in-house and onsite training will be taught to new and experienced splicers. Splice Kits will now be purchased through Michael Frederick who is the Splicing and Scanning Customer Service Representative for Fenner Dunlop Americas.

Michael Cremeens and Ronnie Whisenhunt will head the Emersion Splice Training program for Fenner Dunlop's TCSD network. Instruction will include training splicers on all the aspects of conveyor belting through everyday, hands-on experience with splicing, belt testing, and splice failure analysis.

The unit will also take charge of the new rEscan(TM), EyeQ, and Rip Ranger operations in North and South America; this will consist of Steel Cord Monitoring, Rip Detection, Splice Monitoring, and cover wear determinants. The new system will have the capability to remotely scan any steel cord belt anywhere in the world, transmitting to a computer in our facility. James Normanton will be the Scanning & X-ray Technician for this sector. All scanning and X-ray orders will go through Michael Frederick.

Fenner Dunlop Americas has invested in a new state of the art X-ray machine that can x-ray steel cord belts, splices, and fabric belt finger splices. The x-rays will be performed by James Normanton, Scanning & X-ray Technician.
