It all started when Mr Thomas Lukiowak made a cabinet for his poolside patio furniture cushions to keep the bugs off. Using architectural window grade materials and craftsmanship, he built a cabinet using the same window components, hinges, seals, and aluminum composite material for the sides and infill panels. The following spring time, Mr Lukiowak was looking for his cushions, and to his dismay he realized they had been left in the cabinet all winter, spending sometimes completely submerged in wet snow! When he opened the door, he found his cushions perfectly dry, dust free, no bugs, and no smell. Upon reflection, this was no surprise, because Mr Lukiowak would never expect rain, snow, bugs, dust or smell to penetrate his top-of-the-line architectural windows!
