The company's previous website was more like a corporate brochure than a selling channel, not giving prospects a way to browse specific part numbers and compare features of their products. Management has determined that a more strategic use of the website, by introducing a cross-referenced catalog of thousands of part numbers, gives prospects confidence that they are contacting someone familiar with their equipment and able to provide solutions to their specific dust contaminant problems.
Fab-Tex deployed ThomasNet's Navigator Platform to help improve the content and navigation of its website, and better meet the needs of prospective buyers. As a result, prospects who enter part numbers or detailed product descriptions into general search engines like Google, or industrial destinations like ThomasNet.com, can find the Fab-Tex website more easily. The online catalog on the website allows users to select the filter they need, customize it to their particular application and order it fast, all from their desktop computer.
The technology platform enables visitors to:
o Search by major product categories, such as Cartridge Filters, Filter Bags, Pleated Filter Elements, Blower Filters and filter products for Vacuum Trucks.
o Compare up to five items at a time by multiple attributes. For example, prospects can compare Wheelabrator style or Farr style cartridge filters by outside and inside diameters, height and cap configurations, among other variables.
o Download literature on filter media options and fiber characteristics.
o Submit Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and attach files on a simple, easy to find form located on every page of the site.
