Experian Executives to Address Topical Industry Issues at Telecommunications and Utility Conferences


COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 19 -- Experian®, a global information services company, will address topics pivotal to communications and energy companies at two major industry conferences this month: the Telecommunications Risk Management Association (TRMA) Spring Conference in Las Vegas, Nev., and the Platts Credit and Collections for Utilities Conference in Miami, Fla.

TRMA Spring Conference, Feb. 19-21

Alison Colquhoun, head of Vertical Markets, Experian, will speak on a panel entitled Credit Risk in the Under-Banked Consumer Segment. This session will explore the characteristics of the emerging consumer marketplace, how this population views credit reporting and their attitudes toward utilizing mainstream financial services.

Rick D'Angona, chief information security officer, Experian, will present a case study for the workshop named Are You Gambling with Your Customers' Privacy? D'Angona will share Experian's best-in-class approach to data security and will discuss best practices for securing data and how to strike a balance between human and technological controls.

Experian has been chosen to receive the "Best in Class" Award from TRMA, which ranked Experian the top business affiliate for the fourth consecutive ranking period.

Platts Credit and Collections for Utilities Conference, Feb. 26-28

Laura DeSoto, senior vice president, Strategic Initiatives, Experian, will speak at a workshop entitled Enhance Collections through Full-File Credit Reporting, which will address improving utility customer payment behavior by implementing a systematic process to report monthly payments to credit reporting companies while improving the utilities' days sales outstanding. Joining DeSoto in the workshop will be Michelle LaWall, project manager, Collections, PPL Electric Utilities and Jeff Moran, director, Credit and Collections, DTE Energy.

Dan Buell, vice president, Collections, Experian, will address maximizing collections revenue as a moderator on the panel entitled Improve Revenue Recovery through Process Optimization among Billing, Credit and Collections, Call Centers, and Regulators. Joining Buell is Richard Fox, vice president, Customer Operations, Aqua America Inc.; Dave Aimone, senior manager, Customer Billing and Analysis, NW Natural; Alan Schott, vice president, Finance and Accounting, Baldwin EMC and Connie McIntyre, vice president, Customer Experience, AGL Resources.
