Evana Automation Ships Two Custom, Lean Assembly Systems to Tier 1 Automotive Supplier of Fuel and Braking Fluid Delivery Components

Evana systems will efficiently fabricate low pressure fuel rail assemblies for two different parts

Evansville, Indiana — Evana Automation Specialists, a leading Systems Integrator and builder of custom, automated assembly and test systems, recently shipped two custom assembly systems to a Tier 1 automotive supplier of fuel and braking fluid delivery components that will fabricate low pressure fuel rail assemblies for two different parts.

Each system consists of seven different lean work stations. An operator will load and unload parts to and from a production nest. The parts consist of upper and lower housings, injector bosses, fuel tubes and brackets, etc. The work stations will automatically perform pressing operations, crimping and welding functions. Both systems incorporate visual inspection technology at designated stations to verify the presence and proper attachment of various components to help ensure quality control.

"Evana is always proud to serve the automotive industry," said Randy Wire, general manager of Evana Automation Specialists. "These lean assembly systems will increase production efficiency and quality for this well-respected customer."

Evana, a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI), utilizes diverse technologies to specialize in motion control, robotics integration, welding integration and system architecture by linking production equipment, material handling systems, data collection, networking, as well as computer software and hardware into flexible, unified technology.
