Essential Business Status Update - COVID-19

These are indeed challenging times for us all. Our thoughts go to all who have been or will be affected by the outbreak. As our local communities paired with state and national governments come together to slow the spread of COVID-19, on Monday, March 16th, 2020, the President issued updated Coronavirus Guidance for America. This guidance states that:
“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule”.
Our first priority is to protect the health and safety of our employees and their families. We have implemented all of the recommended best practices for those who remain onsite. Currently, all possible employees are working remotely to ensure the health and safety of our employees.
Based on the critical industries served by Dorner, including, food processing and packaging, pharmaceutical production and fulfillment, medical device and equipment manufacturing, lab testing and rapid prototyping for lab equipment as well as unique Dept. of Defense production requirements; Dorner meets the requirements established by CISA on March 19, 2020 as an essential business.
In addition, pursuant to the March 24 executive order issued by Governor Tony Evers, Dorner qualifies as an essential business. As a result, Dorner will retain our manufacturing operations, located in Hartland, WI, and all field related support in the United States, through this crisis.
Our decision to remain open is supported by multiple letters from key customers who have already been deemed essential and require Dorner to continue operations as an essential supplier to their ability to maintain their business operations.
