ESAB Introduces New PUROX and OXWELD Products

ESAB's Global Center of Excellence for Gas Apparatus in Florence, South Carolina announces the introduction of a new and improved line of Purox and Oxweld gas apparatus products.

Originally introduced in 1912, Purox and Oxweld are synonymous with high-quality torches and regulators, and have led the industry in oxyfuel welding, cutting and heating.

Purox and Oxweld torches have been recognized throughout the years for quality construction, safety, and durability. The brands' oxygen regulators were the first to include patented technology to contain oxygen regulator fires.

The same high standards that were originally introduced by Union Carbide were continued by the Linde Corporation, and are now cornerstones in ESAB's production of the Purox and Oxweld lines.

"Purox and Oxweld have always been seen as the "Cadillac(TM)" of oxyfuel welding and cutting apparatus," said Paul Mercuri, Gas Apparatus Product Manager for ESAB. "It's hard to improve upon what truly is the best in the industry, but we recognize that in this changing economic climate, customers need this superior equipment at competitive prices."

The new Purox Elite Series and Oxweld Elite Series product lines feature the top-of-the-line quality, performance, and durability ESAB customers have come to expect, while adding updated safety and design features.

"These new products will be assembled at our Global Center of Excellence for Gas Apparatus in Florence, South Carolina," said Mercuri.

The Purox Elite Series and Oxweld Elite Series product lines include welding handles, cutting attachments, hand cutting torches, regulators, and complete outfits. The products will be launched initially in North America, England, and South Africa, followed by release to all global markets.

All Purox Elite Series products sold in North America are backed by ESAB's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. ESAB guarantees complete satisfaction with the product for the first 100 days of ownership. ESAB's Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product.
