Ersa to Bring Intelligent i-CON Series to SMTA Atlanta 18th Annual Expo

Plymouth, WIÂ – Kurtz Ersa North America, a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, announces that it will exhibit the i-CON Series Solder Stations at the SMTA Atlanta 18th Annual Expo Tech Forum, scheduled to take place Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Gwinnett Civic Center in Duluth, GA.
Today's soldering operators are faced with ever-increasing challenges, including continued miniaturization and densely packed PCBs, high thermal mass solder joints as well as the general problems caused by the higher temperature by lead- free applications. Simply put, such difficulties can result in decreased profits due to a decrease in touch-up productivity, an increase in PCB scrap rate and an increase in soldering tip consumption. Ersa accepted these challenges when it introduced the i-CON C family of intelligent soldering stations. Designed for controlling or communicating (hence the "C") with an auxiliary Ersa product, i-CON C has a serial port which can connect to the various supporting workbench systems.
The i-CON C is available as an i-CON 1 C with one i-Tool solder iron or as the i-CON 2 C with one i-Tool iron and one additional soldering or de-soldering tool.
