Erie, PA – Eriez is making available a variety of free tools that help educate customers on an assortment of equipment. These tools are part of Eriez’ Orange University, a comprehensive educational resource that includes the company’s mobile training center, literature library, newsletters, magnet safety information, articles, Technical Center and more. Productivity tools include a free feeder tray capacity calculator and suspended magnet burden calculator. The feeder tray calculator helps determine just how much bulk material can be handled on a vibratory feeder or conveyor with a particular tray size. The suspended magnet burden calculator helps guide the user in selecting the appropriate magnetic separator suspension height for specific applications.
Reference manuals are numerous; including the popular “How to Choose and Use” booklets on topics from vibratory feeders to metal detectors. Eriez maintains a host of process booklets, flow charts, industry-related magazine article reprints and other information specific to magnetic, vibratory and metal detection applications and installations.
Another free service is the company’s Pull Test Magnet Inspection. Eriez will arrange for a magnet specialist to visit a facility and pull test the permanent magnets. When the inspection is complete, Eriez will report the findings alongside the original values (if available) and values for new state-of-the-art magnets.
