EPRI Announces Management Changes
PALO ALTO, CA. - The Electric Power Research Institute President and CEO Steven R. Specker today announced leadership changes in EPRI's top management tier, effective immediately.
Hank Courtright will serve as the Vice President of the Environment and Energy Analysis sector. Courtright previously served as the Vice President of the Generation Sector.
"With more than 30 years in the utility industry and 14 years at EPRI, Hank Courtright has proven leadership skills, strong personal interest in the environment and broad electricity sector experience," Specker said. "Environmental issues are at the forefront of the industry, and will continue to shape key policy and future technology investment decisions; having someone with Hank's caliber in this important role is crucial."
Chris Larsen will serve as the Vice President of the Generation sector. Larsen was previously the Managing Director of EPRI International, Inc. He worked at General Electric for 11 years prior to joining EPRI in 2004.
"Chris Larsen's broad background and significant experience in the supply-side of the industry and proven strategic operations successes prove that he is ideal for this position," Specker said. "His experience identifying and meeting the needs of the international market in the face of today's economic and environmental realities is essential for the continued success in the generation sector."
With these changes, EPRI strengthens its role as a leader of collaborative Research & Development for the energy industry. An active search for a President of EPRI International, Inc. is underway.
