(EPI) was founded in 1980. The company was originally established to buy and integrate conveyors and labeling equipment. The machines were combined to work as a system, and then installed as a complete unit at the customer's location. Early on, we recognized that most "off the shelf" systems needed to be tailored to the customer's operation and specific application(s) and began designing and building our own labeler systems.
Since our inception, EPI has concentrated on bringing the right labeling equipment to packaged goods manufacturers. We integrate our systems with their current lines to minimize production interruptions. Our labeling equipment includes systems for flexible packages, containers, box or case packaging, beverage 12/24 packs and other general packaging formats/designs as well as print and apply systems.
We have a line of labeler equipment for flexible packaging, case packing, corner labeling, containers, print and apply systems, bakery and other general packaging applications. Our inserter line handles two and three dimensional pieces and liquid filled pouches. We continue to incorporate our systems with other packaging equipment, as well as provide complete integration for product handling, lease equipment and PMMI certified trainers to assist with all your technical needs.
In April 2004, EPI moved to its new manufacturing plant and worldwide headquarters, in southern York County, Pennsylvania - conveniently located off Interstate 83. This new facility includes upgraded manufacturing capabilities, an R&D Lab for development of new products and line extensions and a sales showroom to demonstrate our equipment with actual applications.
The philosophy of EPI was and continues to be - design and build equipment that is easy to set up and operate, has minimal moving or wear parts, and to tailor the machinery to meet the customer's needs. As part of our mission we believe in giving our customers outstanding service and being responsive to their needs.
