Ener1 to Present at Premier European Green Conference

CleanEquity Monaco to Coincide with UN Environmental Ministers Meeting

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 14 / -- Ener1, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ENEI) today announced that it has been selected to present at the February 20-21 CleanEquity Monaco 2008 Conference, sponsored by the Principality of Monaco to coincide with a meeting of the UNEP (United Nations Environmental Programme). The event is expected to attract up to 100 government environmental ministers.

The CleanEquity Monaco Conference is designed to become an annual event, and will provide a forum for "green" investors to meet companies with new environmental technologies expected to become cutting-edge leaders in the greening of industry, the reduction of greenhouse gases and the clean-up of air and water. Conference organizers expect that fund managers from across continental Europe and the UK will attend, and that green funds from North America, the Middle East and Asia will turn out in force.

Ener1 Chairman Charles Gassenheimer said, "The UNEP ministers and the CleanEquity Monaco Conference present an ideal opportunity for sharing information and technologies globally. We will be presenting information on our lithium-ion automotive batteries, which we believe will lead the industry for hybrid electric vehicles, plug-ins, and electric vehicles." Mr. Gassenheimer added that Ener1 was progressing on its $70 million contact with Think Electric Vehicle of Norway, the largest electric vehicle company in Europe, to provide EV batteries this year.

Mr. Gassenheimer also said that Ener1 will be meeting investors in the U.S. over the next couple of months in non-deal road shows, with schedules to be announced shortly.
