Emerson Process Management Names Jim Nyquist as President of Global Sales


Nyquist brings extensive industry experience and strong leadership qualities to new position

Jim Nyquist is the new president of Global Sales for Emerson Process Management.

Austin, Texas (November 27, 2007) - Emerson Process Management, an Emerson business (NYSE: EMR), has announced the appointment of Jim Nyquist as president of Global Sales. Nyquist will direct sales operations for all company divisions, which includes systems, software, instruments, valves and services.

Nyquist has had a 30-year career with Emerson that includes world area roles in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Most recently he was president of Emerson Process Management Europe (2004-2007). Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University.

Emerson Process Management recently announced a 17 percent rise in fiscal 2007 sales that continues a multi-year run of strong results. Growth in Process Management helped fuel the growth of its parent, Emerson, which saw 12 percent growth in fiscal 2007 sales, its third consecutive year of double-digit growth in sales and earnings per share.
