Elemental Selected To Present At The Computer Security Institute's 32nd Annual Conference And Exhibition


SAN MATEO, Calif. - Nov. 10, 2005 - Elemental Security, Inc., an award-winning pioneer of new technology in enterprise information security, today announced that it has been selected to present at the Computer Security Institute (CSI) 32nd Annual Computer Security Conference and Exposition, being held Nov. 14 - 16 in Washington D.C.

Guido van Rossum, programming language expert and Elemental senior language architect, will present "Introduction to an Open Language Approach to Managing Security Policies" in the conference's Working with Developers Track on Nov. 14. Mr. van Rossum is one of the world's best known and most respected computer language experts. Mr. van Rossum is most recognized for writing the Python language, one of the leading open source languages. He has written the policy language used exclusively by the Elemental Compliance System. In one of his accomplishments, he was nominated as one of the Top 20 Software People in the World by Java Developer's Journal. Prior to joining the Elemental team, Mr. van Rossum was the Director of PythonLabs at Zope Corporation. Mr. van Rossum has been a guest researcher for the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Md., working at the Corporation for National Research Initiatives (CNRI). Mr. van Rossum holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam.
