Elcoteq Enters Cooperation Agreement with German Fan and Motor Company ebm-papst St. Georgen

ESPOO, Finland. - October 20, 2010 - Elcoteq SE, global life cycle service partner for high-tech product and service companies, and emb-papst, a worldwide innovation leader in fans and motors, have entered a cooperation agreement for the manufacture of fan blowers. The blowers will be manufactured in Elcoteq's factory in Pecs, Hungary. The current cooperation started between Elcoteq and ebm-papst group's subsidiary, ebm-papst St. Georgen. Although the main production consists of manufacturing PCBA's for fan blowers, in total, the agreement covers the manufacture of ten different products.
Elcoteq's service offering covers engineering, manufacturing, fulfillment, and after market services. All of the company's high-volume plants are located close to the main end-markets of its customers' products and in cost competitive countries. Pecs is one of Elcoteq's largest factories with 53,000 m². It is a highly competitive manufacturing site offering a reliable, flexible, and efficient supply chain from Europe to Europe.
Ebm-papst group has over 10,000 employees on 17 production sites and in 57 sales offices. The company's product range includes over 14,500 different products. Ebm-papst St. Georgen is the leader both in fans and blowers with air power up to 950 m3/h as well as in the drive technology in high-end servo and commutates engines with a power from 1 Watt - 500 Watts. The company also operates in the automotive electronics industry.
