Eaton Contributes $125,000 to the Heart Center at Ridgeview Medical Center for State of the Art Cardiac Care in West Metro Minneapolis
Waconia, Minn. Ridgeview Medical Center today announced that Eaton Corporation will donate $125,000 to the Heart Center at Ridgeviews hospital campus in Waconia, Minneapolis. Eatons Hydraulics Operations are an Eden Prairie-based subsidiary of Eaton Corporation, a leading global diversified industrial manufacturer. The Heart Center will be created using solely individual and corporate philanthropy.
Eatons generous support of this local health initiative is evidence of the importance and value of providing the highest quality health care at the local level, said Robert Stevens, president and CEO of Ridgeview. Because of philanthropy from businesses and organizations like Eaton, residents, commuters and visitors to the west metro area will have access to the best cardiac care available without leaving the community.
Ridgeview Medical Center broke ground in June 2006 on the 12,000 square foot Heart Center, which will bring state of the art cardiac care to the fast-growing west Metro area. The Heart Center, due to open in 2008, will provide virtually all levels of preventive and interventional cardiac procedures, including angiography, angioplasty and stent procedures. The only cardiac procedure that will not be performed at the new Heart Center is open heart surgery.

Eatons Eden Prairie Campus employs people from a large geographical base surrounding Eden Prairie, said Lee Marske, Eden Prairie plant manager. The new Regional Heart Center will assist our employees, their extended families and the surrounding communities with outstanding healthcare.
As part of the arrangement, Eaton has donated $62,500 and will donate the remaining $62,500 in December 2007. In recognition of Eatons support, the Cardiac Ultrasound Stress Test Room will be named in honor of the company.
