ASTM International Symposium on Dynamic Testing of Soil and Rock Will Be Held in June
Press release date: Apr 05, 2012
The symposium will consist of a number of presentations dealing with laboratory testing using the following equipment: Bender Elements, Resonant Column Torsional Shear, Cyclic Direct Simple Shear, Piezoelectric Crystals and Cyclic Triaxial. This testing was performed on a variety of materials: marine sediments, sand, gravel, rock, cemented sand, polymer, fly ash, unsaturated materials and electro-osmosis chemically treated clay.
In addition there will be presentations on field tests using down hole seismic, lightweight deflectometer. The interpretation of the data will be discussed and comparisons will be made to laboratory test results.
Online registration is now open and closes June 20. The fees to attend this symposium are:
o ASTM members - $270 USD online registration; $295 USD onsite registration
o Non-ASTM Members - $295 USD online registration; $320 USD onsite registration
