Durex Inc. Acquires Two New Companies in 2010!
Durex Inc. is proud to announce the addition of two acquisitions to the Durex family of companies. Agreements have been reached for the acquisition of P. Feiner & Sons and Sternvent Company Inc. "These new companies have long histories of excellence and will mix well with the current synergies at Durex. This will allow for a smooth transition with little or no interruption to customers," said Robert Denholtz, Durex Inc. President & CEO.
P. Feiner & Sons is a family owned custom metal fabrication shop located in Bogota, NJ. Feiner was established in 1888 and is currently run by fourth generation Feiner family members. Durex will be taking on all of Feiner's contract work, which is very similar to Durex's current work. All of the fabrication for these accounts will be moving over to Durex's 120,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility located in Union, NJ. In order to accommodate the increase of production in house, Durex has purchased several new machines including an additional combination Amada Laser and Punch press.
Sternvent Company Inc. is a unique product line specializing in dust collection systems for the wood, metal finishing, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Sternvent was founded in 1952 as an industrial sheet metal contracting firm, originally located in Brooklyn. In the 1970's, they started manufacturing dust collectors and have been focused solely on them ever since. Sternvent's systems are known for being solid, well-built, reliable equipment and for having the best product labeling for safety and liability in the industry. Combine this reputation with Durex's ISO 9001 status and Sternvent will continue to beat expectations with their product's performance.
The base components of these dust collectors are metal fabricated parts that blend perfect with Durex's over 60-year history of stamping and custom sheet metal fabrication. Along with the core components, these systems are easily assembled together in house thanks to the size of Durex's facility. In addition, Sternvent personnel have joined the Durex team to ensure a smooth transition.

Durex continues to increase revenue and grow its customer base through its contract manufacturing business as well as the additional growth through acquisitions. Durex's facility and manufacturing capabilities create a synergistic environment that allows us to easily transition production of various product lines.
