Drucker Institute Management Top 250 Names Pitney Bowes A Most Effectively Managed Company

STAMFORD, Conn., December 08, 2017 - Pitney Bowes (NYSE:PBI) has been named to the Drucker Institute’s Management Top 250, an inaugural ranking that lists the most effectively managed companies based on a holistic measure of corporate effectiveness developed by the institute. Corporate effectiveness is defined as “doing the right things well.” In analyzing and comparing the performance of major US companies, the Drucker Institute ranks Pitney Bowes 86th in a list of 250 of the most well managed organizations.

This is the first time the ideals and teachings of the late business professor and journalist Peter Drucker have been used to analyze and compare the performance of major US companies. The methodology involves analyzing an organization’s performance in the areas of customer satisfaction, employee engagement and development, innovation, social responsibility and financial strength.

“To reach number 86 on our list, Pitney Bowes had to demonstrate excellence in multiple areas of performance,” said Zachary First, Executive Director of the Drucker Institute. “They particularly stand out in Customer Satisfaction and Innovation, both essential ingredients in sustaining success over the long term.”

“This ranking is a source of great pride for us because it is an acknowledgment of our longstanding values and our culture of innovation,” said Marc Lautenbach, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pitney Bowes. “Our employees are dedicated to doing the right thing the right way for our clients, stakeholders and communities.”
