Dr. Sanjeevaiah of Star Thermoplastics to Present at NPE 2015

As the largest and arguably the most important Plastics conference and trade show of the year approaches, Dr. Prakash Sanjeevaiah of Star Thermoplastic Alloys Rubbers, Inc., makes final preparations as a featured speaker to this renowned international audience. 



Broadview, IL – Star Thermoplastic Alloys Rubbers, Inc. (Star Thermoplastics) is pleased to announce that head researcher, Dr. Prakash Sanjeevaiah (Pra-ka-ash San-jee-va-yah), Ph. D., is a featured speaker at NPE2015: The International Plastics Showcase, as part of the Education sessions known as SPI: The Business of Plastics Conference. 



Dr. Sanjeevaiah will present:  Current Solution Trends in Styrenic Thermoplastic Elastomer Technology on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in Orlando, FL.  The education series offered at the conference provides timely topics with business implications, and Dr. Sanjeevaiah focuses on critical trends and needs of today’s products and how Styrenic based TPEs have responded to these needs.



“I'm extremely pleased to be speaking about this dynamic topic to such a prestigious global audience as we continue to develop strategies to improve Styrenic TPE material options and functionality,” said Dr. Sanjeevaiah.



In his presentation, Dr. Sanjeevaiah will discuss product attributes such as clarity, compression set, softness, heat resistance, physical properties, bondability/printability, cleanliness, barrier, etc., which have always been important in considering Styrenic TPEs for applications.  In addition, he will address meeting the rapidly changing regulatory needs associated with polymer choice.    



His presentation will be part of the “largest NPE show ever” and “the world’s most important plastics trade show and conference of the year—bringing together every sector of the plastics industry, including end markets”, according to organizers of NPE2015: The International Plastics Showcase, which takes place March 23-27 in at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.



Prakash Sanjeevaiah, Ph. D., is the head of Research and Development at Star Thermoplastic Alloys and Rubbers, Inc., and he utilizes various analytical tools and his background in synthetic chemistry and material science to provide innovative elastomeric solutions.  He has held various positions in other research labs, including the Catalysis group at GE Plastics. He has a doctorate degree in synthetic organic chemistry from Loyola University and an MS degree in analytical chemistry.  Dr. Sanjeevaiah has authored multiple journal articles in the field of thermoplastic elastomers and other material science subjects.
