Dr. Rita Mohanty Appointed to Lead Speedline Technologies' Advanced Development Group

FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTS, USA, January 24, 2006 - Dr. Rita Mohanty has been
appointed to lead Speedline Technologies' Advanced Development Group (ADG), a
team of engineers and resources dedicated to the research and development of
technological and process innovations in SMT manufacturing and PCB assembly.

"In the ADG, we are creating industry-shifting breakthroughs in processes and
products that give Speedline Technologies' customers a clear and competitive edge,"
Dr. Mohanty said. "The ADG itself is a clear and competitive edge for Speedline in its leadership in printing, dispensing, reflow and wave soldering."

The ADG features a cutting-edge laboratory staffed with experienced process
engineers and equipment. Dr. Mohanty says the lab is at least two to five years
ahead of the industry in its work. Its current work includes improving print
inspection techniques, achieving smaller and faster dispensing, and improving reflow
and wave soldering in conjunction with lead-free initiatives she noted.

A certified Six Sigma instructor, Dr. Mohanty has over fifteen years of experience in
both industry and academics relating to engineering and electronic polymers,
electronic packaging and assembly.

Prior to joining Speedline, Dr. Mohanty worked as the General Technologist at Ark-
Les Corp. managing lead free processing, RoHS compliance roadmap and various Six
Sigma improvement projects along with developing and teaching a custom Green
Belt program. Before joining Ark-Les, she worked as the R&D manager at Cookson
Semiconductor Packaging Materials, developing both conductive and non-conductive
electronic adhesives. At Brown University, her research focused on thin film ITO,
employing RF sputtering and at Univ. of Rhode Island, polymer membranes as
applicable to environmental applications.

Dr. Mohanty is active throughout the industry, as an author and editor of books and
technical papers, the owner of a technical patent, and as an officer in IMAPS, SMTA,
and SGIA. She earned a BS-PhD from the University of Rhode Island in Chemical
Engineering and a Six Sigma Black Belt from Whirlpool Corporation. Dr. Mohanty is a
Rhode Island resident.
