Delta Coatings Acquires Federated Paint and Midwest Lacquer

MELROSE PARK, ILL. - April 2,: Delta Coatings Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of paints primers and environmental coatings used throughout the container and drum industries, OEM/General Industrial and transportation industries, today announced that it has acquired Federated Paint and Midwest Lacquer, a manufacturer of liquid coatings and lacquer paint products. The acquisition is intended to not only accelerate their financial and operational goals, but also to provide increasing value to their customers and employees by yielding cost synergies. These synergies are anticipated to come from savings in raw materials, assimilation of manufacturing operations and other consolidation opportunities.

With the addition of Federated Paint and Midwest Lacquer's manufacturing sites, Delta Coatings will increase its overall manufacturing facility by an additional 48,000 square feet.

"More importantly, we've inherited a great deal of expertise from our new employees. We are thrilled to have the team members of this highly educated and experienced organization join Delta Coatings," said Delta Coatings President John Bittle. "Delta Coatings is in a better position to produce new formulas and patent technologies. "It will enable our combined organization to build upon the successful foundation we have established at Delta Coatings and give us the added breadth we need to leverage our technology into new markets and applications."

Delta Coatings is committed to maintaining a position of environmental leadership by developing products that comply with air permit requirements and EPA guidelines. Delta's broad product line includes some of the lowest volatile organic compounds (VOC) coatings available.
